From IV hydration and medications to direct primary care, Gemini Urgent Care offers more than other urgent care facilities. Our mission is to provide top-quality medical care to everyone in Houston – even people who may not have insurance. James Jackson, MD helps people without insurance stay safe and well with the Gemini Plan. Nevertheless, the Gemini Plan is NOT a substitute for health insurance.

What Is the Gemini Plan?
The Gemini Plan is an affordable, flexible concierge plan for all-inclusive care for those without insurance. For $99 per adult and $49 per child per month, Dr. Jackson will handle your primary care needs.
A one-year membership will be discounted to $999 per adult and $499 for each child.
The Gemini Plan is NOT insurance, nor is it intended to replace health insurance. The Gemini Plan is not a Qualified Health Plan under the Affordable Care Act.
What Is Included in the Gemini Plan?
When you join the Gemini Plan, you will receive a scheduled initial comprehensive evaluation with Dr. Jackson, including an ECG and full laboratory panel. Your membership fee includes unlimited primary and urgent care visits, and Dr. Jackson will answer your text messages 24/7. All in-house laboratory testing is included:
- Complete blood counts
- Electrolyte and blood chemistry tests
- Rapid antigen/antibody COVID tests
- Liver panels
- Cholesterol panels
- Strep/flu/mono/RSV testing
- Urinalysis
- Stool occult blood testing
X-rays are also included, as are all necessary procedures, such as laceration repair, foreign body removal, and incision and drainage of abscess. Medications – excluding narcotics – are included, as well.
Please note that outside laboratory tests, such as quantitative pregnancy tests, thyroid tests, urine or wound cultures, and stool studies, are NOT included in your membership fee, and you will be billed separately by the laboratory.
Additionally, Gemini Urgent Care is not staffed or licensed to treat emergency conditions.
Who Is Eligible for the Gemini Plan?
We invite anyone without insurance or with a high-deductible insurance plan to participate in the Gemini Plan. We will not bill your insurance for treatment you receive under the Gemini Plan, and you may not file an insurance claim yourself. The monthly or annual membership fee WILL NOT apply to your deductible.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept Medicare patients for the Gemini Plan, and the plan may not be appropriate for certain patients with chronic or recurring medical conditions requiring parenteral narcotics.
Although we reserve the right to revise the Gemini Plan with 30 days’ notice or terminate unpaid memberships, you can cancel your plan at any time after the third month for any reason, and your plan will automatically cancel 30 days after your final monthly payment.
There is no yearly contract, but payments are nonrefundable.

Thank you for taking such great care of me on my recent visit. I have never been to the emergency room for pain. It was scary. I probably wasn’t the easiest patient yet felt well cared for and nobody made me feel like a crazy lady for showing up in the middle of the night in my PJs and robe. Hopefully, I do not have to do such a thing again but if so I’ll be more comfortable knowing that I’ll be in good hands.

The staff was really nice. Great customer service I got in and out within an hour. Dr. J. Jackson came in to do his assignment and gave me what I needed and I was able to be on my way. The rest of the staff was real nice I filled out my paper and they help with questions. The assistant told me what I needed to do and it got done he was very efficient. Overall I give y’all 10 stars… Great Experience!

I had a great experience. From when you walk in they are extremely welcoming and friendly. I went in with intense pain and they did everything to make me feel comfortable and find a solution. I had an amazing nurse named Moses who was extremely kind and helpful. The doctor was quick to respond, very kind and informative This is by far the best experience I’ve encountered. Definitely recommend their services.

I went in today for a bad migraine. It was around 6:30 am and no other patients. I was greeted and taken back. They got me started on some meds. The dr came in and was friendly and quick. He didn’t ask me 100 questions to get to the point. He gave me something to relieve the problem and a prescription. I didn’t have to ask for a work note he automatically wrote one out. The staff was very clear on instructions and what they were going to do. Felt better, checked out, and paid. It was fast and convenient since my dr doesn’t open till 8 and hope to get in the same day. I’d go back. The staff asked the main questions needed, Before giving me meds asked if I had a ride or by myself. which makes a huge difference with migraine medicine. In and out in 2 hours.
