WHERE CAN I GET A RAPID COVID-19 TEST?
The professionals at Gemini Urgent Care offer Rapid COVID-19 tests at our facility. We are very excited to offer this cutting-edge and effective testing option to our patients in Houston, TX and the surrounding areas.
WHAT DOES A RAPID COVID-19 TEST INVOLVE?
The Rapid COVID-19 test is a fast antigen testing that specifically picks up any presence of ACTIVE contagious virus cells.
This test is commonly used in conjunction with a PCR COVID-19 test, which looks for the evidence of virus DNA or RNA being present, but does not necessarily detect if the virus is in the active or contagious stage. Using the two tests together helps our team to better determine the correct treatment plan needed for each patient.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
There is no out of pocket charges for most insurances, a rapid COVID-19 testing is typically covered by insurances with no co-pay and no deductible. For uninsured patients, we offer a cash price for this 10 minute Rapid COVID-19 testing of $150. PCR COVID test cost $250. Please contact us for more information.
We are constantly learning how we can treat and monitor our patients better to keep them safe during these unprecedented times and are taking all CDC recommended precautions to safely test individuals, along with maintaining the overall health & well-being of our patients & staff.
TREATING COVID-19
Now we can treat COVID-19! We offer IV hydration, injections for pain relief, and prescriptions for antivirals such as Paxlovid which are FDA approved and recommended by the CDC for the treatment of COVID in certain patients.

This is a 30 minute IV infusion of REGEN-COV, a mixture of two monoclonal antibodies to help your body fight off this deadly virus. While still investigational, REGEN-COV is approved by the FDA under an emergency use authorization, and has been shown in several studies to reduce the chance of hospitalization or death. Thank you for taking such great care of me on my recent visit. I have never been to the emergency room for pain. It was scary. I probably wasn’t the easiest patient yet felt well cared for and nobody made me feel like a crazy lady for showing up in the middle of the night in my PJs and robe. Hopefully, I do not have to do such a thing again but if so I’ll be more comfortable knowing that I’ll be in good hands.

The staff was really nice. Great customer service I got in and out within an hour. Dr. J. Jackson came in to do his assignment and gave me what I needed and I was able to be on my way. The rest of the staff was real nice I filled out my paper and they help with questions. The assistant told me what I needed to do and it got done he was very efficient. Overall I give y’all 10 stars… Great Experience!

I had a great experience. From when you walk in they are extremely welcoming and friendly. I went in with intense pain and they did everything to make me feel comfortable and find a solution. I had an amazing nurse named Moses who was extremely kind and helpful. The doctor was quick to respond, very kind and informative This is by far the best experience I’ve encountered. Definitely recommend their services.

I went in today for a bad migraine. It was around 6:30 am and no other patients. I was greeted and taken back. They got me started on some meds. The dr came in and was friendly and quick. He didn’t ask me 100 questions to get to the point. He gave me something to relieve the problem and a prescription. I didn’t have to ask for a work note he automatically wrote one out. The staff was very clear on instructions and what they were going to do. Felt better, checked out, and paid. It was fast and convenient since my dr doesn’t open till 8 and hope to get in the same day. I’d go back. The staff asked the main questions needed, Before giving me meds asked if I had a ride or by myself. which makes a huge difference with migraine medicine. In and out in 2 hours.
